A long-standing difference can be seen in the number of debates, papers, essays, and discussions had on the opposing ideas of evolution and creation. How can we know what is true? What do these ideas teach us about God in the midst of their differences? Maybe these two ideas can both lead us to uncover more about who God is and what He desires for us.

Is God real? As we process different thoughts, concepts, and ideas to inform our own worldview and beliefs, reason is often considered independently from faith and faith in opposition to reason. Could it be that faith and reason aren’t actually in opposition to each other, but rather complement each other? Can we find out what the Bible says about these two ideas, or will we find many Bible contradictions?

Healing is something we all look for in our lives at certain moments. Maybe it’s physical healing, or divine healing in a relationship, or healing from hurts of the past. What if Jesus wants to bring a greater purpose to your pain? Need a miracle prayer or a prayer for healing? What if Jesus wants to put His power on display through your circumstances? God often works in unexpected ways, but ultimately His goal is to put His power on display by seeing your life changed.
As you build your new normal, what should it look like? It’s far too easy to substitute new things that ultimately collapse for old things that collapsed and fail to satisfy you. Ultimately, Jesus, and all that he brings, is the only thing that doesn’t collapse when your life does.
So far in this series, we’ve seen that not everything you lost was worth keeping, and that trying to build a life around a kingdom without a King can crush you. This week we’ll look at what might really have been driving some of what you accumulated in your life prior to COVID, and how to allow God to reset your life around your real identity. Your real identity is one that’s received, not achieved.
There’s a story widely circulating in the culture. You were born good. Something happened, and your inner self was wounded. To find your true self is your life’s purpose and the ultimate pathway to true happiness, satisfaction and pleasure. Any form of difficulty, commitment, push back or restriction is a threat to finding who you're meant to be and your ultimate fulfillment. Throw off all limits and rise against any oppression, and you’ll find yourself.
The last 60 days have changed the world and your world like never before. Some of the things you used to put your hope and trust in crumbled overnight. So...what are you left with? Like a garage sale, you might discover in this pandemic that there are some things that used to have great value to you that you just don’t want (or need) anymore.
Does God speak to us through people? Can we know how to hear the voice of God clearly? This week, lead pastor Jeff Brodie talks about hearing God's voice by giving godly people permission to speak into your life. This is the final part to our series on how to hear God's voice.
When people say they hear from God, it can often feel like something foreign or even a bit odd. Do regular people hear from God? Who is the Holy Spirit and what does He have to do with hearing God speak? In this week’s message, we looked at the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives - specifically how the Holy Spirit can help us to hear God’s voice in our lives. Let’s continue the journey of using this time to hear God’s voice more clearly than ever before.
How do you know if God is speaking to you? Is it even possible to know how to hear God's voice? You get a gut feeling, you hear a whisper, you feel a desire come up in your soul … is that God speaking to you? How do you know it’s not just your own voice? Or maybe you pray and pray and never hear anything. Does that mean God's voice doesn’t have anything to say to you? Is there a bible teaching that shows how to hear the voice of God?
The world is full of noise vying for your attention every day, but you rarely think about it. Who are the voices you listen to most? What about the voice of God? Do you hear His voice at all? If He spoke, would you know it’s Him? Or maybe it’s just something you ate. We’ll be looking at what the voice of God sounds like and how you can use solitude to begin to hear it.
Covid-19 has radically changed our world over the last few weeks. As you adjust to your new normal, maybe you're finding yourself in the midst of doubt and disappointment. In the midst of that, how can you find hope?
Hope is what you have, faith is what you build. How do we build faith in the face of isolation? There is a diference between solitude and isolation, but there is something counterintuituve about solitude that allows us to hear from God
Fear is contagious, but so is hope. Hope is more powerful than fear. Let’s be people
who share hope. In a culture of fear, let’s choose to be FOR people.
We live in a culture that tells us "You are worthy, look inside yourself." But where does that end? What if our version of what's right and true might not mesh with someone elses? What do you do when we start hitting the roadblocks of defining your own morality?
What a morning to celebrate how Jesus has changed people’s lives and their choice to follow Him. It’s amazing to see what God is doing. Baptism is also a time for all of us to reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus, and celebrate the freedom He brings us.
Looking for relationship advice for breakups? We all have hopes and dreams, but what are we supposed to do when our hearts are broken and our dreams can’t come true? It’s tempting to take matters into our own hands, but is there a better way?
From elementary school through high school, many of us had ideas of what the perfect relationship would look like in the future. While those dreams may not represent our current reality, a step in the right direction could be to follow the apostle Paul’s advice—move from our childish ways and start being grownups.
If becoming the right kind of person is key to a great relationship, how do you do that? Is there something you can do to prepare? Does it just happen? Sure, we’re supposed to love others, but what does that really mean? Let’s lean in and read the fine print.
In relationships, we often believe if we find the right person it will make everything right. So we ask ourselves, “Is this the right person for me?” Maybe we need to be asking a different question—a question that shifts our focus from seeking the right kind of person to becoming the right kind of person.
So...why isn’t everyone a little more like you? The world would be a better place, would it not? Apparently, not. When God designed humankind, he pronounced his work to be very good. However, as the Enneagram reveals, He didn’t make us all the same. Maybe the differences aren’t deficiencies, they’re design.
